Amanda Pham, MD Radiology
As a recent graduate of the Ochsner Clinic MRI Fellowship Program, Dr. Pham is familiar with the most innovative and advanced diagnostic services available. Her fellowship program—performed at a clinic that provides a complete range of MRI services and more than 10,000 examinations per year—offered advanced training in the use of MRI for the central and peripheral nervous system, musculoskeletal system and body; as well as advanced training in the use of MRA for the central nervous system, body and extremities. Board certified in radiology, Dr. Pham joins our health system with the primary goal of being one of the strongest links in our healthcare chain. Her extensive training, outstanding clinical skills and genuine desire to help our patients will go a long way toward helping her accomplish that goal.
Education and Training After earning her Doctor of Medicine degree from Louisiana State University (LSU) School of Medicine in 2003, Dr. Pham completed the University of South Alabama Internal Medicine Internship Program and Radiology Residency Program. Following, she completed the Ochsner Clinic Foundation MRI Fellowship Program.
Certifications and Proficiencies Dr. Pham is fluent in English and Vietnamese.
Honors and Awards Among her many academic honors, Dr. Pham graduated magna cum laude from her undergraduate biochemistry program at LSU. She also was awarded the LSU Board of Supervisors Scholarship, and was a member of the Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association. Dr. Pham is currently a member of several professional organizations, including the Radiological Society of North America and the American College of Radiology.
Employment Dr. Pham joined Fauquier Health as a private practice physician with Virginia Radiology Associates in 2009, right after she completed her fellowship program. Prior to medical school, she volunteered at Baton Rouge General Hospital and at the Area Health Education Center located in Baker, Louisiana.
Personal Interests In her spare time, Dr. Pham enjoys volunteering for community events, such as blood pressure screenings, outreach programs and health career education programs for youth.
