Kevin Glass, MD Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine
Dr. Glass has more than a decade of experience as a pulmonary and critical care physician and sleep specialist. He spent the first part of his medical career caring for our country’s active duty military personnel, and during that time, was the director of the busy Sleep Laboratory at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany. Board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary diseases, critical care medicine and sleep medicine, Dr. Glass knows how to recognize the unique needs of both our critically ill and Sleep Center patients. And out of respect for those patients, he strives to provide the highest quality of care to each one.
Education and Training After earning his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in 1991, Dr. Glass completed the Walter Reed Army Medical Center Internal Medicine Internship and Residency Program, and Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship Program.
Honors and Awards Among his many honors, Dr. Glass was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society upon graduation from medical school. He also was a semi-fi nalist for the Bailey K. Ashford Research Award, and received fi ve Army Commendation Medals. In addition, Dr. Glass is a fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians, and a member of several other professional organizations, including the American Thoracic Society, American Academy of Sleep Medicine and Society of Critical Care Medicine.
Research Dr. Glass has conducted numerous research studies. His fi ndings were published in the American Journal of Medicine, Chest, Military Medicine, Southern Medical Journal, Annals of Internal Medicine and Molecular Immunology. He also presented his findings at several meetings for the American College of Physicians and American Thoracic Society. In addition, he was a research assistant at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.
Employment Dr. Glass joined Fauquier Health as a private practice physician with Pulmonary & Critical Care Specialists of Northern Virginia in 2002. Prior to that, he was a physician with the United States Air Force and held a variety of positions at the Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany, including director of the Sleep Laboratory, director of the Combined Intensive Care Unit, director of Respiratory Therapy, and member of the Air Force Critical Care Air Transport Team. In addition, Dr. Glass served as a staff internist for the 121st General Hospital in Seoul, South Korea, and as a medical instructor for the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences.
Personal Interests Dr. Glass is married and has one child.
